Background
Danielle N. Pantaleo practices in all areas of public education law, including general legal matters and labor and employment. Ms. Pantaleo is well-versed in all areas of special education law, including pupil records, student discipline, harassment, intimidation and bullying complaints and Section 504 and civil rights issues. Ms. Pantaleo frequently counsels school boards on the development and review of school board policies and conducts administrator and employee trainings concerning special education law and procedures, HIB requirements and legal updates, and anti-harassment and anti-discrimination laws.
Ms. Pantaleo regularly attends meetings on behalf of district child study teams, including eligibility, evaluation and IEP meetings. In her special education practice, Ms. Pantaleo has successfully tried many special education cases to the benefit of the respective boards of education she represented, through formal due process and requests for emergent relief. Ms. Pantaleo is also an experienced negotiator, having participated in many successful settlement and mediation sessions throughout New Jersey.
